Born with a Quirk that feeds off of negative emotions and summons monsters straight from the stuff of nightmares, Kazuki had a rough start in life. Having a shitty family did, unfortunately, make things even worse for him too. Now, when his life is at its lowest, a certain principal approaches him to give him a chance to be the opposite of what society thinks or expects him to be.
He was a relatively normal guy, he really was. So, why was it that after his death, unfortunate thing that it was, he woke up once more. And he did so in a similar but also very different world from his own and with a very strange Gamer System… But he had a second chance at life, so that was ok. What wasn't ok was that he had no idea what world he was in. That could be a problem.
Waking up in a forest in the middle of nowhere wasn't in Pierce's plans. Neither was dying nor was being dropped in another world for that matter, really. He appreciated the second chance though, and the free equipment too. Now, how was he going to make the most of his new situation… Well, that was the question, wasn't it?
Life could take interesting turns, Travis knew, but sometimes… Sometimes those turns could be a road that leads right off a cliff. That's how the last turn felt like for him, in all honesty, and that might have been a bit of an understatement. He wasn't sure how one could classify waking up to news that one's parent was dead and he now has a bar to his name... in Gotham, of course.

Whoever said that being an isekai instantly translated into a power fantasy was clearly delusional. There were many things wrong with their situation. They were in a world destined for war with no apparent cheats. They were low level grunts on the wrong side who were thought less than dogs. Wrong indeed... And it all started with muffins of all things.
